This exciting event brings together Year 8 students from schools across all sectors to explore and discuss the science of wellbeing. Through interactive sessions, students will have the opportunity to connect with peers from other schools, share experiences, and learn valuable strategies for enhancing wellbeing in their communities. The day will also include dedicated time for students to collaborate and begin planning initiatives for 2025, setting a foundation for positive change in the year ahead.

Event Information
Program offering:
- An inspiring keynote presentation by Dan Jackson, former professional athlete for the Adelaide Crows.
- A thought-provoking panel discussion including student voice.
- Workshops providing hands on practical tips and strategies.
- Wellbeing interventions to enhance the wellbeing of the student attendees and their readiness for learning.
- Topics include:
- Identity in Connection
- Appreciative Inquiry
- What’s Working Well
- Setting Wellbeing Goals for 2025
Costs:
- PESA Institutional Member Schools: $20 per student.
- Non-members: $25 per student.
Ticket terms:
- Registrations close at 6pm on Friday 1st November.
- Cancellations made after 1st November will incur a 100% charge.
- Student attendee names can be changed anytime before 18th November.
- Schools must ensure adequate staff are present to accompany students (no staff limit).
Who this event is for:
- Year 8 students from any South Australian school (no sector or PESA membership requirements).
- No prior knowledge of wellbeing science is needed – come along and learn together!
Key Information:
- The event starts at 9:15am and concludes at 3pm. Refer to the agenda here.
- We recommend a maximum of 10 students per school.
- There is no limit to the number of accompanying staff.
- Fruit will be provided for recess, please bring your own lunch.
- Attendees are encouraged to bring their own refillable water bottles.
- Students are required to wear full school uniform.
