Planning for our 2020 Australasian Wellbeing in Education Conference is well underway.

This will be our sixth annual conference and will take place over 2-4 April at ICC Sydney.

Our conferences offer the opportunity to learn, share and network with experts and practitioners, teachers and researchers, who are committed to enhancing the wellbeing of students, staff and schools. The annual PESA conference is now regarded as one of the most significant wellbeing and Positive Education conferences, offering world-class learning and outstanding value-for money.

The theme for our 2020 conference is Bridging Theory, Research and Application, and we will provide a rich program encapsulating current developments in wellbeing and educational research as well as practical classroom and school-wide strategies to enhance student wellbeing and academic attainment.

We are now seeking submissions for Workshop,  ‘Inspire’ and ’20/20 Vision’ session presentations at this Conference.

We would love to hear from you if you are keen to share your expertise, insights and experience on Positive Education, and student, staff and wider-community wellbeing.

Workshops will run as 50-minute ‘deep-dives’ with one or two presenters. Student presenters are also very welcome. We encourage interactive formats, focusing on practical interventions and applied aspects of Positive Psychology which may impact on student, staff or community wellbeing.

Inspire Sessions
These will be rapid-fire 6-minute presentations, focusing on one or two ideas or initiatives that have been successful in your context.  We will run 7 of these sessions concurrently within a 50 minute timeslot, across four streams.

Suggested topics for workshops or inspire sessions include the following – but this is by no means an exhaustive list and we’d be delighted to hear your ideas!

“20/20 Vision” Sessions

These presentations will each run for 5 minutes, and will offer an overview of the diverse approaches to Positive Education across 20 schools and tertiary institutions.

We are looking for examples of best practice in designing and implementing whole school wellbeing strategies, and practical advice for delegates to draw from within their own contexts.

These sessions will run on the main stage in the plenary hall for all delegates to attend.

Whether your school is just starting its PosEd journey, or is well advanced, we’d love to hear your story.

Two presenters maximum please – and we welcome student presenters!

To lodge your 20/20 Vision submission, please complete this form.

Applications close on 18 December 2019

You are very welcome to apply for more than one style of presentation if you wish.

PESA non-members are welcome to apply also, so please feel free to share this invitation with your colleagues.

We look forward to seeing you at #PESA2020 and to working with you to create flourishing schools and communities across Australia and internationally.
